my thought

After finishing our usual house chores in Saturday, both of us rested on the sofa while watching Astro. Feeling too tired, both of us went unconscious for about almost 2 hours when i suddenly jolted up with an empty feeling. Not sure whether i was dreaming or it's my subconscious mind, i sort of regretted didn't go to visit ah kong in the hospital. All of a sudden, i could feel my eyeballs swimming and i told hubby we should go visit ah kong in the hospital no matter what. We went to LWE & tried searching for the correct room. Dare not call mum as she said i can't go into the hospital now. So in the found his name on the wall & the moment i saw him lying on his bed, my tears dropped again. He was lying there with both hands tied up to the side of the bed & his skinny legs were exposed. The nurses had to tie him up since he cannot stop pulling out the oxygen tube. He looked so old and haggard. When i tried to touch his hands, he asked me to go away thinking i'm a nurse. I wore all white that day :P Although all his hands are tied up, his eyes & hands are still very active, moving non-stop just like what he did while at parent's apartment. Doctor said he cannot consume solid food for the rest of his life now, so now he has to be fed using RT feeding. A tube will be inserted thru his nose directly into his stomach and liquid food will be poured into the tube. I cannot imagine if i were him. God is fair to him, god makes him senile and he is now like a small kid, not knowing what's going on around him. He only knows how to request for rice & teh tarik. If i were to live as long as he does, i hope i'm healthy and will not a burden to my next generation.

more bags needed

Luckily i had a plastic bag in the car with me this morning. Out of a sudden, i felt vomitish & vomited. Yucks!!! Nothing came out except for the glass of water & a few vitamin pills. Damn, gross. It's a good thing the plastic bag was not transparent. Hubby said even if i dun have a plastic bag in hand, i can just vomit on the rubber mat of his car. Crazy meh? I'll keep vomiting when i look at my own vomit. I better prepare more plastic bags in the car, just in case.

how far is far

It was raining & as usual lar, a few drops of rain will cause massive jam on the way up the bridge. Hubby was driving with his F1 skill like usual and me crapping beside him.

Me : Actually Spore is very far from Penang also, since have to take 1 hour flight to reach there.
Him: Yeah (continue to concentrate on driving)
Me : Going to US worse huh, 10hours++ flight.
Him: Yeah (and tried to cut to another lane)
Me : Butterworth must be very far also, since we're going to take 2hours to reach home.
Him: *speechless*

peri peri chicken meal

Hubby and i sent MIL off at the airport yesterday. While we were waiting for her to check-in, i managed to buy myself a set of chicken meal from Nando's. How i missed the aroma of the roasted chicken meat since dunno when. Last time during college days, i could finish 1/2 chicken (Flaming Hot ) + 2 sidelines + Coke, all by myself. Of cos i was huge then :p Yesterday, i could only finish half of 1/4 chicken (Mild) + 2 sidelines. Hubby had to finish off the remaining stuff. Oh yeah, dun ever order Hot Chocolate drink from Nando's. You cannot even taste chocolate in the drink. It's like drinking plain water + a bit of sugar. It's that bad & yucksss!! RM7.50 for a cup of choc-like drink. But i still enjoy the meat & chips. Thinking of Nando's makes me drool now :P

my facial ordeal

It's always a nightmare when the salesgirl calls me up for facial appointment. My poor hubby will have to spend about 2 hours window shopping or go looking at some electronic gadgets while waiting for me. Well, at least it's better than spending time looking at the monitor in office, he can relax in QB. The last facial was called light therapy treatment, it's included in the package when i first signed up. They didn't brief me how it was going to be like, so as usual, i just followed them into the room & let them do their work. Before they began the light therapy treatment, they did a test on my arm to test the heat. Aiyer, it's like lasering my skin like that with a bright spark & mild pain. Knowing that it's another type of skin treatment, i agreed to let them continue :P Quite a terrifying experience where i could see sparks even though i was wearing eyes protector. The pain was mild & i could smell burnt skin scent. That gross. After the completing the ordeal, i was given a few sachets of cream to protect my skin for 3 days continuously to avoid rashes or skin irritation. If there is another free voucher for this kind of treatment, i would pass it.

routine

For about a week starting from today, we'll have the whole house to ourselves. MIL will be in Spore until Sunday while FIL will be staying in the shop looking after the shop. But it's no big deal for the both of us since even if in-laws are here, they only come over to watch Astro and sleep all in about an hour time. Life is pretty routine for the 4 of us in the house :P Any suggestion to change it? Hehehe....

blissful

We were sitting in our living room watching Astro.

Me : I'm cold, please reduce the speed of the fan to 1
Him: Okay, just a sec.
Me : I'm still cold, are you sure it's already at 1?
Him: Yes. Nevermind let me set it to 0.5.
Me : How?
Him: Like this *arms wrapped around me*
Me : *blink blink*

Me : Now look at this.
Him : Hm....*paused*...oh my god!!
Me : *grinning*

trip to cameron highlands

Hubby dated me to Cameron Highlands last week for a 2D1N trip together with his friends. There is only one thing i dun like about the whole journey - the road up the hill, winding & narrow.

We started our journey at 7am. Hubby's fren was in charged of booking the apartment for our stay. Here is the conversation between the driver & his fren.

Fren1: How do we get the keys?
Fren2: Have to call the owner & meet up with him.
Fren1: Where to meet the owner?
Fren2: Meet at Petronas petrol station at Cameron.
Fren1: Do you know where is the petrol station?
Fren2: Have to call the owner to ask him where is Petronas.
Me: *fainted*

Before we drove up the hill, i forced myself to fall asleep which i succeeded after 15mins or so. Woke up when we reached Country Lodge Resort and Fren2 called up the owner. Our apartment wasn't that bad, 3-rooms apt with attached bathrooms. Spacious living room with fully equipped kitchen. After settled down for a while, we went out for breakfast & off we went to our first destination - Boh Tea plantation. The hill was like covered with green carpet, so smooth & refreshing. Road was narrow but fortunately there was a bus making way in front off us, so we just had to follow the bus. Hubby met his cousin & fren at the cafe.

After touring for like 30mins, we went a Bee Farm which was a very lame farm. Wooden boxes containing bee hives all over the farm but nobody was there to demonstrate anything for us. There was a sign somewhere "We will not be held responsible for any accident which may occur in this farm." Uh oh, time to leave :P Before that, found this plant. It's named Christmas Flowers.

On the way back to our apartment to rest, we stopped at Rose Valley. RM4 admission fee per pax. I was dead tired since lack of sleep & i don't like flowers. Walked a few round and rested while waiting for them all to finish the tour. Saw apple tree in the Rose Valley too, miserable tree.

Back to apartment, everybody slept like pigs until it was dinner time. Too much food especially fishballs. Went to pasar malam after the steamboat & met a few other friends and relatives. Lot of Penangites were in Cameron during the weekends.

We planned to visit the Cactus Valley early in the morning but couldn't wake up in time. Ate leftover steamboat with maggi mee & we went out again. Heavy rain & luckily i brought along my foldable umbrella & sandals. I now can declare that i dun like plants :P I didn’t like anything in the farm partly due to the cold weather & i was still having the after effect going up the hill due to the winding road. Took a few pics of cacti including some which looked like cabbages & roses.

After shopping at the market, we started our journey back to Penang once more. So glad. But i think i fainted in the car on the way down the hill. His fren drove too fast down the winding road & i only woke up when we reached the toll :P

love rivalry ;)

Remember i said i didn't want to watch hubby's badminton tournament? Well, in the end i walked all the way to the badminton court. For no reason, i just changed my mind. I reached there just in time to see the first match between hubby's dept against another department. It didn't look good as the opponents were very strong & they had a big team cheering for them. Hubby was still on the bench cheering for his team when i stepped into the hall. Luck was not on their side when 2 teams lost. Finally, it was his turn to play. I remember the first time i saw him played was at BM badminton court. Not bad also, he looked bergaya also...haha :P BTW, I dunno how to play badminton & dun even know the rules

Coincidently, hubby played against "my bf". Before they started the match, "my bf" already asked me who am i supporting. The answer was so obvious. Hubby won first game by a few points, lost in second game & won in the final game by 3 points only. But i think he didn't really win cos can't deny that "my bf" was a better player than he is. Although hubby & his partner kept attacking "my bf"'s partner, "my bf" never failed to save the game...hahaha. No doubt both "my bf" & his partner were also attacking hubby's partner at the same time. If hubby & "my bf" were to play against each other, hubby will lose, i can guarantee that :P Sorry dear, the truth hurts :D

sorry dear, not today

Hubby will be competing in a badminton tournament later. He asked me to go cheer for him. Cheering for him is not a big deal for me but sitting alone in the hall is so paiseh. Afterall, i know most of the people in the hall :p I hope he dun mind that i choose not to go along with him. I know i'm bad.

Bon Odori Penang

Bon Ondori falls on 21 July this year. Two years ago, hubby brought me to witness this celebration for the first time at Esplanade, Penang. I never heard of this festival back then. Bon Odori is a Japanese celebration which is similar to Ghost Festival for Chinese, to welcome the spirits. We went to the field by car or bike i couldn't remember well. What i can remember was there were many stalls, many japs wearing kimono & a lot of people. A stage was set in the middle of the field where there were many drums on the stage. Some Japs were performing dances & singing on the stage where people went around the stage dancing with the performers. We were only interested in the fireworks at that time :P Soon, there was announcement for fireworks presentation & it was indeed very beautiful.

These pics were taken via our small Olympus 3.2MP:

24-hour bicycle patrol

Hip hip hurray, police force in our country is really serious in fighting crime. First they use patrol car, then superbike, followed by horses & now BICYCLES. Yes, now we'll see policeman on bikes since North Seberang Prai police wants to fight crime by 24-hour bicycle patrol. They want to use bicycles cos they can go into narrow lanes and crowded areas, but this bicycle patrol is not meant for chasing criminals, ironic izzit? The police also encourage us to install CCTVs for safety purpose as well as notify them thru SMS or phone calls. Read more here.

My BIL told me of a funny incident. A house owner called police for help as he suspected the burglar was still in the house. When the police officer reached, the police officer signaled the house owner to go into the house first. Takut mati ke??
