body

My weight is almost back to last time. Before, i only weighed around 55-56kg, and now 57kg. The main culprit is the spare tyre around my waist. When i look into my 4-feet dressing table mirror, the spare tyre looks just like a pouch. With no elasticity, ugly, soft, wrinkled, old, stretch marks all over. Honestly, it looks more like a "tu thor" (in hokkien), if you know what i mean. My waist was 26-40 and it's back to 26. But the spare tyre just dun want to go away, hence the extra 1kg.
And when i tot i was back to normal body shape (minus my pouch-like tummy), i saw this pic.

It was taken by hubby during my cousin's wedding. Let's focus on my bra strap, the bulging flesh, to be exact. So ugly, so embarassing! I used to stare at people who wear the wrong bras or wear bras that are too-small-but-i-think-you-will-think-i'm-sexy with overflowing flesh, what a view *eyes rolling*

Guess, the amount of exercise i do at home, e.g rocking a 7.6kg baby to sleep every night, does not help to tone my muscle. Have to go back and look for my expensive-super-huge Elken lingerie bra to hide the flesh. Blekk!!!

renovation

My room is mosquito free now. We can open the windows wide for the first time, at night. The last time i did that, my poor Khye ended up being feasted on by mosquitoes. 4 bites on both side of the cheeks and a few more on the michelin thighs. Initially, we only on the fan & air-cond. But due to electric price hike, we decided to use other alternative.

We reno our room last 2 weeks. Hubby engaged people to install an exhaust fan in each of the rooms, including mosquito netting. At first, we wanted to have the aluminum netting but it costs a bomb and there will be a lot of drilling, which means a lot of cleaning up to be done after that. I hated the idea so much. The last time we had to clean the room was when hubby decided to change a few tiles in the bathroom when I was pregnant. Nightmare in cleaning up. Finally, we settled for the easiest option, stick-on netting. It's a magnetic type where you can take them off and on conveniently. No drill, happy me.

Hubby even custom made a cabinet for Khye's things including his toys, clothes and daily use stuff. Storeroom is also ready for me to put away junks. Our home looks more organized now with everything hidden in the store room.

Khye can sleep at any place, anytime, in any position. I didn't realise i've captured so many pics of him sleeping. Here are some of them :D

solid food

This was written 2 months ago and i just found it somewhere.
July 28
Yesterday was our 3rd attempt in feeding Khye solid food and it went so smoothly, unbelievable.
Our 1st & 2nd attempt was disasterous. We decided to start him on solid food last week, when he was in week 24. Happily, i mixed the rice cereal with some milk. It turned out more milk than rice cereal and i thought the mixture was just nice for baby. Dun want him to choke. Our first mistake was to wiped him clean BEFORE feeding him. As soon as i brought the mouth to his mouth and his tongue tasted it, the drama started. He wailed, cried, spit, struggled, kicked and did whatever he could to break free from hubby's arm, as if we're trying to force him drink vinegar. Khye is strong physically & vocally. And i thought all babies like to munch. Hubby and i was worried to see him acted in such way, but didn't want to give up, i forced another mouthful of cereal into his mouth. The drama continued.

I was taken back by his rejection. He used to watch us eat and got so excited and at times will mimic our munching action with sound "mam mam mam mam mam".

We tried our luck for the 3rd time. Suprisingly, no hassle and no more rejection. This time, he was getting impatient waiting for the spoon to reach his mouth. The moment i took the spoon out from his mouth, he will be prostesting non-stop. I have to increase my speed. In the end, we have a satisfied baby & 2 tired adults.

My milk storage after i started him on solid food, last month. I forgot to take the pic of my fridge today.
