i hate this

I know it's disgusting!! I have no idea how it started and why it happened. If you're lucky you will not get this during your pregnancy. I applied stretch mark lotion when i was 5 months pregnant and when the marks weren't even there. By 6th month, i thought i was very lucky to be blessed with no marks on my tummy. But i was so wrong. The marks appeared on 7th month and the lines are getting more each day. It's 3D, long and deep mark. I still put on a lot of lotion every night but to no avail. I have to bear with the marks for the rest of my life. No more low waist jeans for me. Come, cry together with me. Oh yeah, my belly button is as ugly too.

2 months to go

I’m finally 8th month pregnant. The government doc suspected i have placenta pravia when i was 28weeks pregnant. It's the case where placenta is lying low in uterus when it should be located quite high on top. Normally, people with placenta pravia will experience bleeding during pregnancy or even early delivery. Scary or not? First, the government doc suspected that i have diabetes & hypertension due to my weight increased 4kg in a month. The result showed negative. Now they want to scare me with placenta pravia. I have to go for a few rounds of scanning and check up to ensure the placenta is still at the same place and not lower. In the meantime, I cannot do any house chores at all. All I need to do is sit and rest for the rest of my pregnancy. No more 3 hours walk in shopping centers now. Oh yeah, I’m going to post a baby p*orn pic here. Guess what’s that. I asked the doc to focus on that "part" so that I can bring the pic back and show everybody including in-laws =)

Surprisingly, my weight only increased 0.5kg from last month when it should be 1kg. Must be due to the toothache.

more items

I just love Avent products (this is not a paid post). We did a lot of shopping last month since there were so many holidays. Hubby and i went to a few shops and shopping complexes to compare Avent products before buying them. Finally, we ended up buying the products from a shop at Raja Uda, operated by a young couple. The shop was having opening promotion and i guessed we were just lucky.

Since we've decided to breastfeed exclusively and not depending on formula, we decided to get Avent ISIS Manual Breast Pump. The electric pump is much better option but the price is a bit too high for us. Many of my friends recommended manual pump as you can control the pressure and not hurt your nipples badly. So just got Avent ISIS Manual Breast Pump for RM175.

FIL doesn't like the idea of sending the baby to baby-sitter, so MIL offers to take care of the baby full time, excluding night time. To ease her baby sitting task, hubby got Avent iQ 24 Electronic Steam Sterilizer so that she dun have to sterilize the bottles using traditional way and it's time consuming. I can also use this sterilizer to cleanse my breast pump. The price, RM409. Pretty expensive but i hope mil knows how to use it. I haven't learned myself :P

We are supposed to get Avent Express Bottle and Baby Food Warmer from the same shop but it was out of stock. This item is selling like hot cakes according to the shop owner which i doubt so. RM220 for a set like that, who would buy it except working people like us. Frozen or refrigerated breast milk is not supposed to be boiled or heated by microwave. MIL will be having hard time to heat up refrigerated breastmilk, so this is a necessity for her. Just 4 mins and you will have a just nice milk to feed the baby.

I think the shop owners love us.
* all pics are taken from Avent.

where are my toes

I just realised this morning, i cannot see my toes while i was having my shower in the bathroom!!! Hubby has been very helpful to cut my toe nails for me although he dun shapethe nails like i always do. I need to sit on a stool or my bed to put on my pants since i cannot bend easily anymore. My waistline is 40 inches with a 41 inches butt. I had to get new bras last month with much bigger cups. I'm turning into a giant mama. Another weight measurement tomorrow and i think it's going to touch 75kg. Darn.......

are you hot?

Was it just me or was it due to the weather? My body temperature is rising and it's not fun. I was home alone yesterday after hubby left for his badminton practice. I perspired a lot. So, in order to not get dehydrated, I drank lots of water. In the end what I did yesterday was perspired-drank water-toilet, every 15-30mins. Crazy. I kept feeling pressure on my cervix, as if the baby is forcing himself out. Siao, too early :P Maybe the space is my tummy is getting smaller for him. Was so tired I even dozed off while watching CSI. Took late lunch with hubby and finally I started my ironing task at about 5.30pm. And my whole body was wet an hour later & I had to wash my hair for the second time of the day. Pimples decided to say hello too, all 6 of them.

F-O-O-D

Whenever i see people with sachets of Nescafe, Old Town White Coffee, Aik Cheong 2-in-1 Coffee, Kopiko etc etc, i just wish i could join them. Think of the coffee aroma the moment you pour hot water into your cup, the moment you stir it...heaven...

Let's get back into reality. I have to refrain myself from taking all these caffeinated drinks. I dun even remember the last time i enjoyed a cup of nescafe. Was it the red packet or the green one? Now i'm craving for coffee & carbonated drinks & ice cream. You can give me ice cream at anytime and i will just swallow the whole thing without second thought.

Last night, after dinner, hubby and i decided to dropby at a newly opened shop selling baby stuff near our house. The business was so good and the things are so much cheaper compared to Jusco/Sunshine. Too bad we have bought almost everything during Jusco sale 2 weeks ago :P For a same baby bath tub, we got it for RM25 at Jusco but the shop sells it for RM14. 20% off for all Avent products except breast pump. Heartache only. Am having headache to choose from different types of breast pump. There are manual, electric & battery operated. Prices ranges from very low to very high, RM88 to RM699. Should i get a cheap one and breastfeed for 2months plus? Should i invest in a better one to last me longer, say 10months? But then again, will i be producing enough or it will stop after 2-3 months? So cheap one or reliable one? Headache only. In the end we didn't get anything breast pump again, but got myself a tin of
Karihome goat milk powder. Minum Anmum + karihome goat milk = me sihat & kuat :P

how to escape

If we follow Chinese Lunar Calendar, our very first wedding anniversary will fall on 20Dec (11th month 11th day) this year, which is also on the same day as Raya Haji. Since hubby's dept may also shutdown until next year, and i have 1 week leave to clear, we are going to...*deng* *deng* *deng*....stay at home whole week until New Year.

If not, where else to go lar? Go makan? Go shopping? Please give me some suggestions. I dun want to stay at home and watch Astro. Oh yeah, hubby subscribed Astro Metro for me. He also moved the Poang chair back to my territory, under the fan, in front of the aircond :D Dun you wish you have a hubby like mine? ;)

I know i should not be doing this but since i am really too free and my sis asked me whether i have overspent on pregnancy & maternity stuff, so here is the calculation (not going to show you the actual figure =p )

To date:
Estimated baby's items = RM 400
Estimated mummy's items = RM 4500
Estimated Check-ups = RM 250

I have just sent the list to hubby, to make his day =D

my son =)

His head is on my left and the legs are facing my right, the body is right under my belly button. No wonder i could feel movement on the right side of my tummy more. Sometimes, he kicks so hard that you can see my tummy move, most visible when i'm wearing white/tight blouse. However, when a stranger touches my tummy, it will stop moving immediately, maybe he only recognizes my palms. I am still waiting for him to show me his elbows and knees. Like doing karate in my tummy huh?

My cough is disturbing him during the day especially when i have to cough real hard. So he takes "revenge" on me, by waking me up at 6.12-6.14am every morning, by squirming around in my tummy. At least it's better now cos once upon a time, he always woke me up at 3.45-4am *phew*.

One bad thing, there are a lot of new moles all over my body and dark pigmentation underneath my armpits. Gross leh? And quite a large dark pigmentation on my right cheek, slightly nearer to my ear lobe. Will it go away after labor or stick to my face forever? I can now happily declare that i have a 36inch waist with a 39inch butt and it keeps growing wider and wider each day. That's the price you have to pay.

tummy ache

I think i'm down with food poisoning today and it's bad!!! I just returned from my 2nd visit to the toilet. My tummy started aching when we were halfway to office. You know, as usual, Monday morning is when everybody jam the bridge cos lots of outstation people go back to work or study on Monday morning. So hubby had to drive like mad person, cutting in and out the lane, and sped all the way to office. Imagine what he will do if i say i have to go to labor :P Tummy is still not feeling well and i'm hoping it doesn't affect my baby. I dare not take any medicine even if the doc says it's okay to take them. Dun want to take the risk.

so it's a Mickey =)

We saw the doc at about 10am in the morning. We were both very anxious and were waiting for the day to come since our last visit last month. The nurse instructed to me to lie down while waiting for the doc to scan my tummy. Hubby asked the nurse whether he could see the ultrasound visual with me, so the nurse asked him to stand beside the doc chair. The doc, as usual came and scan my tummy, showing me where the head, spinal cord, heartbeat & legs of the baby. This time i could see the eyes of the baby so clearly, including the chubby legs. Then the doc asked me, did i know whether it's a boy or a girl, i said nope.

Doc: Si ta phor (it's a boy)
Me : Si ta phor?(it's a boy?)
Doc: Yeah, that the bird. Can you see it?

I saw a blur image of the birdie but still just couldn't resist but to ask him again.
Me : Confirmed?
Doc: Confirmed si ta phor. Look between the leg, that's the bird.
He continued to zoom in between the chubby legs and show me the smallest birdie i've ever seen.

We thanked the doc and proceed to the pharmacy to pay and take my vitamins. Hubby was so blur (or too happy) that he forgot the way out of the hospital. In the car, i asked him how was he feeling. He said "Honestly, i'm very happy". If you ask me how do i feel, i will tell you, i'm both relieved and happy my first child is going to be a boy. More kids to come and hopefully the next one will be a girl :D

apple, anyone?

Last Friday, we left work place quite early and reached home around 6.45pm. Since the day was still bright, hubby suggested that we go for a walk since i need to exercise more. Aiyoo....damn sian.

Me : Can i bring an apple along during the walk?
Hubby: Why? (and continued to drink water)
Me : Cos i'm afraid i will go hungry while walking

Hubby started to puke water the moment i finished my sentence. The walk is less than 1km and i was being tam ciak as ever.

3 will be just nice

I was being cheeky this morning while in the car. I showed hubby my round tummy and told him that my tummy will be like this even after i give birth. The night before we saw Plastic Surgery show on Health & Living (or was it Health & Family) and they did tummy tuck for a mother of two. He assured me that he will still love me and won't ditch me for another sexier girl. And that he will be sponsoring me to all the slimming programs i want. Sound like so sweet huh?

But i told him, i will be signing up for these slimming programs AFTER my 3rd labor. He went "WHAT?!?!!??!!?!?!?" :p

syiok-ness

Wondering whether hubby is bringing me out for lunch today since i have a VIP car park reserved for me already. Yeap, i've gotten the letter from doc saying i'm too heavy to walk for long distance. So starting from today until 13March 2008, i'll be parking my car beside the managers :P

i have super powers

My friend is going to lend me Heroes series, soon after his friend finishes the DVD. Being ignorant as always, i have to ask him what is Heroes all about, although i have AXN at home :p Paiseh. Reason is my bedtime is usually 10-10.30pm. I dun watch any show after 10.30pm as i dun want to risk falling asleep on my keyboard at work place and start typing weird characters like "werjeaercqewr i tafffffffffffffff" in my mails. At times, i may have to delay my bedtime when hubby wants to watch Discovery Realtime until 11pm. If i go to bed first, he will only be in bed at around 12am+, so late. Sometimes, i'm confused whether am i his wife or his mother.

Come to think of it, i can be part of Heroes too. I have a super powers. I can produce new life or a dozen of of them, if i want to. Besides, i can produce milk. What are yours? =P

what a coward!!!

Last Fri, i took leave to stay at home with sick hubby. He had slight fever & flu, i cooked porridge for him whole day. While we were watching tv at night, i told him i have fear of giving birth the normal way. I can imagine myself screaming on top of my lungs and faint during labor. You wouldn't believe it if i tell you even a paper cut can make me nausea & feel like fainting. Even by dropping a pail on my toe will make me semi-unconscious. I have low tolerance to pain. How on earth am i going to give birth the normal way? My coll told me, all you want to do is to push as hard as possible and be done with it. After that you wouldn't feel a thing even when you're being stitched. So scary huh. And i tot i was already prepared for the pain.

So i asked him, will he go into the labor room with me? He said yes. Will he stay by me or by the doc? He said sure he will want to stand beside me thru out the whole process. I asked him why, thinking how sweet he is huh. He said he's afraid he dare not touch me anymore after witnessing how the baby comes out. @#$#@! And i tot he is brave enough to videocam the whole process for me!

Perhaps will post about it much later. Got to find another confinement this Saturday. And i tot we have settled one problem. Iskhhh!!!!!

craving for burger Ramli

I had sudden crave for burger Ramli last night. We used to see a lot of Burger Ramli stalls by the roadside but unfortunately, it was drizzling yesterday & none was found. I craved for burger + egg + cheese. Strangely, it wasn't Double CheeseBurger from McD that i wanted last night. So, hubby drove all over the place from our housing area to another street hoping to satify my sudden crave but where were all the burger stall? In the end, i settled with big pau. But i'm still craving for burger Ramli. Hope our luck is better tonight.

look Ma, i've grown bigger

On week 10, baby-T was only 2.79cm (measurement from head to buttock).

Look at how fast it grows in my tummy. 7cm larger by week 15 and it's 9.79cm now =) So now, i could see a clearer pic of the head & backbone. Can't see the face though. I could even see the heart beating so fast, twice my speed. Too bad baby-T is lying on its tummy. If only it's lying on its back...... :P
